Sourcing Director

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands 

Job Description: 

Moonwatt is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sourcer/Buyer to join our dynamic team. As a Sourcer/Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely procurement of materials and components required for the development and production of our cutting-edge energy storage solutions. You will work closely with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage inventory levels to support our manufacturing processes and company goals. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and secure the best possible pricing and terms for materials and components. 

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain. 

• Manage purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of goods. 

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to avoid shortages or excess stock. 

• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new suppliers. 

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and specifications. 

• Resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing with suppliers. 

• Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance. 

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the renewable energy or technology sector. 

• Strong negotiation and communication skills. 

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities. 

• Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Fluency in English; additional Far East Asian countries languages are a plus.
